with reference to your website FineArtEmporium I would like to ask you about the following painting, which I inherited from my grandparents. My grandfather was a first mate on the vessel shown on the painting. I think the vessel is shown off the white cliffs of Dover in the English Channel, but I am not sure.
Artist: Henry Mohrmann (signed lower right)
Technique: Oil on canvas
Size: 20 x 27 1/2 inch without frame
Signature: signed lower right "Henry Mohrmann" and dated "1907", inscription on bow of the first steamer "Rhakotis", second steamer in the background without inscription. On the back old sticker of the "Kosmos Linie Hamburg" with unreadable address.
Condition and Frame: relined on canvas, slight repaired damage at upper left corner, as far as I can see no significant inpaint, very slight overcleaning at the lower upper corner, period frame (might be original).
Price: I have no idea about the value, please do me an offer.
