Note: The wooden 197 ton Brig *Thomas Chalmers* was built in St Martins, New Brunswick, Canada in 1847 and registered at St John, New Brunswick on June 26th, 1847. It was sold to James Duncan of Dundee, Scotland and registered at Dundee in 1847. Pictures by this Riga based artist are quite rare and this is a nice example of his work.
