Notes:
A typical Pierhead Painter from Naples, who produced a good number of gouaches which mainly show British Sailing or Steam Yachts on their Mediterrenean Cruises visiting the Bay of Naples. Sometimes he painted also a pair of pictures depicting the same vessel in fair and stormy weather. Luca Papaluca had a son, who obviously emigrated to the USA where he worked as late as the 1960s and produced mainly seascapes with historical motifs. These are often works of poor quality and we are NOT interested in pictures by the son. Please contact us only, if your painting looks similar to the below shown paintings. Information about the artist can also be found in our book "Ship Portrait Artists".
