His most productive time was in Dunkirk, where he lived in the 1880s. Some of his works tend to be a little naiv, on the other side his best works are of a quality like the works by Henry Loos or John Loos. His pictures appear occasionally on the art market and his ouevre was smaller than of the Loos brothers. Information about the artist and his oeuvre can be found also in our books "Ship Portrait Artists" and "World Register of Ship Portraits Edition 1999/2000" (coming in spring 1999). |
