Art Wanted: Sell your 19th Century Ship Portrait

We are looking for works by:

Artist:
Chappell, Reuben (British, 1870-1940) - Watercolors and a few Oilpaintings on canvas
Place:
Lived and worked in Goole and in Par, Great Britain.
Motifs:
Ship Portraits of Sailing Vessels and Steamers.
Prices:
Offers are starting at BP 300 (Great Britain) or Euro 500 (Continent). Prices depend on subject, size, date, quality and condition. Please send us an e-mail to receive an exact offer for your painting (free of charge for persons considering to sell their painting).
Notes:
Chappell mainly depicted the smaller vessels. His drawing of the ship is accurate and he does not miss a single detail. He used a formalised composition of green-grey water, small coastline and steamer in the distance. Some of his watercolours suffer from strong fading, the execution of his oilpaintings does not reach the artistic quality of his watercolours. Information about the artist and his oeuvre can also be found in our book "Ship Portrait Artists".
Contact:
The FineArtEmporium is interested in the purchase of Portraits of GERMAN Ships only by this artist and can pay a good price. Please refer to our page "Contact" and send an e-mail to bais@gmx.de with the information requested there. You will receive an answer usually within 48-72 hours (up to a week in rare cases).
