We are looking for works by:

Artist:
Gregory, George F. (Australian, 1867-1957) - Watercolor and Gouache combined, a few Oilpaintings
Place:
Lived and worked in Melbourne, Australia.
Motifs:
Ship Portraits of Sailing Vessels, also Seascapes and Historical Maritime Motifs
Prices:
Starting at Euro 500 (Continental Europe) or BP 400 (Great Britain). Prices depend on subject, size, date, quality and condition. Please send an e-mail to receive an exact offer for your work by this artist (free of charge for persons considering to sell their painting).
Notes:
Gregory visited the Far East as a seafarer before he emigrated to Australia in 1852. The vessels are shown in calm or heavy seas, the ship itself is well drawn and the combination of the two techniques (watercolor and gouache) allowed him to enhance the colors. Information about the artist and his oeuvre can also be found in our book "Ship Portrait Artists".
