Notes:
Huggins was a seafarer of the East India Company and started his artistic career in 1815. He created magnificent portraits of the East India Company´s sailing vessels, using a well balanced composition with numerous other shipping and a coastline in the background. *Florentia* 1839 – The British Barque shown with reduced sails off the Cliffs of Doverail Schooner under full sail off the Dover cliffs – Oil on canvas - 61 x 91 cm – signed and dated – Condition: extensive crackle, fading, loss of paint and other damages

*Jane* 1834 – The English Topsail Schooner under full sail off the Dover cliffs – 62 x 89 cm – signed and dated – good condition - American Collection

*Ullswater* c. 1840 – The English Brig under sail off Sydney Harbour – 52 x 75 cm – not signed but very well attributed - Private Collection in Great Britain
