Kloss, Frederik or Friedrich Theodor (German/Danish, 1802-1876) - Oilpaintings on canvas
Lived and worked in Berlin, Dresden (both Germany) and Copenhagen (Denmark)
Marine Art and Seascapes, Coastal and Harbor Scenes, Sailing Ships, Sea Battles, Fjords, Genre, Landscapes

Frederik or Friedrich Kloss is a lesser known representative of the Eckersberg School in the so called Golden Age of Danish Art. He was also influenced by the paintings of the Dutch Old Masters. He exhibited from 1822 on in Berlin at the Academy and from 1829 on at the Charlottenborg in Copenhagen. Later he became Professor at the Academy in Copenhagen. As an artist he traveled within Germany, to Prague, Iceland, Italy and to the Faroer Islands.
