Lind, Andreas (Norwegian, active 1838-99) - Watercolours, Gouaches and rarely Oil paintings
Place:
Worked and lived in Trondheim (N) and London, Great Britain.
Motifs:
Ship Portraits of sailing vessels.
Prices:
Watercolours starting at NOK12.000 (Norway) or SEK 10.000 (Sweden) or DKR 7.000 (Denmark) or Euro 1.500 (Germany). Prices depend on subject, size, date, quality and condition. Notes:
Lind is well known for his fine and well executed ship portraits, especially those of his later London period when his style had matured. While the sky is executed in pure watercolour and has often faded, he often added bodycolour to the water section. Rarely he did also paint in oil. Information about the artist and his oeuvre can also be found in our book "Ship Portrait Artists".
