Munthe, Ludwig or Ludvig, (Norwegian, 1841-1896) - Oilpaintings on canvas
Place:
Lived and worked in Norway and (mainly) in Düsseldorf (Germany).
Motifs:
Landscapes, Winter Landscapes, Marine Art and Seascapes, Coastal and Harbor Scenes, Fisherman
Prices:

Notes:
Ludwig Munthe was more a landscape than a marine painter. Best known are his Winter Scenes and Landscapes. He travelled within Germany and to The Netherlands, France, Scandinavia and Italy. From 1868 on he exhibited in Germany and Europe including the World Exhibition in Paris 1878. In 1893 he was apppointed Professor and today he is represented in several German and European Museums.
