Francois Musin is a well known Flemish/Belgian marine artist, who produced a large Ouevre of oilpaintings. His style is realistic and influenced by the Dutch marine art of the period. From 1840 on he exhibited in Amsterdam, Lyon, the USA, Dresden, Munich and Hamburg. He was also represented on the World Exhibition in Vienna 1873. His works are signed with his full name ("Francois Musin") or F. Musin. He had a son, Auguste Musin, who continued the tradition of his father until the beginning of the 20th Century. |
