Place:
Born in Hamburg, but lived in Copenhagen, Denmark and Trieste, Italy.
Motifs:
Ship Portraits and Seascapes in the tradition of the Eckersberg School

Notes:
During his Copenhagen years from 1832 until 1844 he received some art training by Eckersberg. He later worked as an instructor for ship construction in Trieste and produced a very limited numer of seascapes and ship portraits. Information about the artist and his oeuvre can also be found in our book "Ship Portrait Artists" .
