Teupken, Dirk Anton - The Younger (Dutch, 1828-1859) - Watercolors
Worked and lived in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Ship Portraits of Sailing Vessels, often in two or even three positions

Teupken received his training by his father (Dirk Anton Teupken The Elder) and adopted and later developed his father´s style. As a background he usually chose the Dutch coastline or the Island of Texel. Most of his works are in collections on the Continent. *Robert* 1846 – The English Snow in two positions off the Dutch coast – 51 x 70 cm – signed and dated by Dirk Anton Teupken – this early example remembers in handling of the water very much to the fathers works - Private Collection Great Britain
