Note: The Italian National Hero Guiseppe Garibaldi (1807-1882) returned 1854 with this Ship from New York to Genoa to support the campaign of Piemont against Austria. Later in 1860 he sailed with a thousand followers from Genoa to Naples and Sicily, where he later became Imperator. His complete life is described in many Historical Dictionaries.
