Loos, John F. (Belgian, active 1861-67) - Oilpaintings on canvas
Worked and lived in Antwerp, Belgium.
Ship Portraits of Sailing Vessels.

Apparently the father of John and Henry. Although strongly influenced by the ship portrait painters Weyts, he developed this style further and paid special attention to detailed figureheads or large flags and ensigns.
